Linnels bridge which spans a gorge over the tributary known as 'Devils Water' S.E. of Hexham This bridge which is now over 500 years old still carries road traffic but with restriction on weight and width. The camera was my D800 coupled with a manual focus Tamron AD2 which I bought for around £44 to use on my F2a has turned out to be a real cracker.
The weather yesterday was quite dull so B&W seemed to be more appropriate which is a pity because the autumn colours were just coming to their best.

I don't know it very well and access is going to be a bit tricky to get down the wooded bank on the left but I would love to get a view from down by the river looking up at the bridge. The building to the right is an out building belonging to to Linnels House (Just out of shot) which because of it's location is often taken over by film crews for television period dramas and even a couple of episodes of the crime drama 'Vera'.

A grand view of a pleasant spot. I last stopped on the bridge 40 years ago - time for a return visit.

I like the processing of both images but think that the composition/content of the first makes it something special.
