Been trying something new ….
I often use photos (that I like) of others as inspiration for a picture.
I liked this picture of a young woman, and thought it could convert well to B&W, but had no real idea of how to create it

So I put a request into Chat gpt:
“Ignoring the dandelion, how would I create a picture of a face like this? What lighting would I need and what are the processing steps in photoshop?”
I got a 5 page response giving detailed instructions on lighting, camera settings and processing. Very impressive (The choice of colour tone is up to you, but includes suggestions)
The response included instructions on creating an action.
The only ‘model’ I had available was me .
The exact pose used in the original gave a poor result (I looked as if I were a corpse ), so I changed the orientation of the head, with eyes open.
Otherwise I followed the Chat GPT guidance.
I think the result would be better with a young, smooth skinned model, but still a good result (in my view).
The B&W conversion was down to me.

On this basis, it seems worthwhile having a go at getting advice from Chat GPT for photographic technical info.
